In 2015, the sales and production of motorcycles witnessed a dramatic decline. This year, the production and sales reached 18,832,200 and 18,823,000 units, down 11.6% and 11.7% year on year. The motorcycles had witnessed decline for the four successive years. This year was even the lowest of the decade. To be specific, the production and sales of two-wheeled reached 16,617,300 and 16,605,900 units, down 12.2% and 12.4% year on year. The production and sales of three-wheeled were 2,214,900 and 2,217,100 units, down 6.2% and 6% year on year.
As seen by quarter, the sales in Q2 reached 4,993,400 units, down 7.7% year on year, which was the highest of the year; while the sales in Q4 reached 4,552,100 units, down 19.1% year on year, which was the lowest of the year.
