In October, the decrease of motorcycle on yearly basis continued to narrow. This month, the production and sales reached 1,406,000 and 1,432,000 units, both down 2.5% than that of last month, and down 1.7% and 1.4% year on year. The decrease rates on yearly basis narrowed 8.3 percentage points and 7 percentage points comparing with that of last month. To be specific, the production and sales of two-wheeled reached 1,211,000 and 1,235,000 units, down 3% and 2.7% year on year. The production and sales of three-wheeled were 195,000 and 197,000 units, up 7.4% and 7.6% year on year.
For the first ten months, the accumulated production and sales of motorcycles reached 13,698,000 and 13,728,000 units respectively, both down 12.7% from the previous year. The decrease rates narrowed 1.1 percentage points and 1.2 percentage points comparing with the first nine months.
